The tour includes approximately 20 food tastings and 4 drink tastings. This tour begins at the Florianópolis Public Market with a shrimp empanada and green mayonnaise. At Amazon Fruit Bowl, you'll try authentic Brazilian açaí and seven types of Amazonian ice cream. At a local fair, you'll taste two types of local cheeses, five types of crackers, and chicken and beef pastel with sugarcane juice. We will also learn about Brazilian peppers and tapioca flours. Next, we'll walk to the Nego Samba walkway to learn about Carnival history. At Praça XV de Novembro, we'll try pão de queijo, coxinha, salsicha, and risoles at a local bakery, and see the city cathedral. On Hercílio Luz Avenue, we'll stop at Parada do Maneca for a Brazilian guaraná and a shot of Jambu cachaça. The tour ends at a local bakery with Brazilian sweets like quindim, chocolate and white brigadeiro, paçoca, and laranjinha.
