Hike to Dois Rios Beach in Ilha Grande

What do you think about spending your day immersed in nature? Hike in the Atlantic rainforest, observe wildlife, see stunning viewpoint, swim or just refresh yourself in a natural pool, rivers and fine sandy beach, learn the local history, visit landmarks and enjoy a tasty local culinary. Dois Rios Beach (Two Rivers) is no ordinary beach, it is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and it is located on a village filled with history that goes back to the dark time of pirates and slaves and was the headquarter of an important farm and most recently a maximum-security prison, where we can visit its ruins and museums. This tour is perfect for those who love nature, culture, history, ecotourism and a bit of adventure. Approx 2h each way, is all it takes to cover the 8. 3km unpaved road that takes there. Don't just visit Ilha Grande, feel, enjoy, live it.

-We meet up and have a short safety debrief. -From Abraão Village we begin our hike towards the most preserved side of Ilha Grande. -Once we begging the road we are looking at an approximately 8. 3km hike, right through the island and its exquisite Atlantic rainforest, that takes around 2-2:30h each way. -It is about the journey: Although Dois Rios is our destination, we don't have to wait until arrival to start to enjoy our tour, the way is filled with attractions such as Natural Pool, possible encounters with wildlife and Viewpoint. -Arriving at Dois Rios you can visit the Ecomuseum, "Museo do Carcere" (Jail Museum) and its ruins or simply relax end enjoy the amazing Dois Rios beach and its rivers. -Because I bet you will love the local cuisine, the lunch at the local restaurant is included (drinks not include) (subject to availability). -We hike our way back to Abraão Village.
