Córdoba and Alta Gracia - Full Day Highlights Tour

Córdoba was founded in 1573 by Spanish in the center of the country and it soon became in the border between natives and Europeans. It is currently a lively and friendly city, one of the biggest in South-America, known for its funny nights, offering thematic bars, theaters, night clubs, shows for everyone. The ancient and the young live together in its architecture, culture, cuisine. . . Córdoba is also a university city. The first Argentinian university was born here 400 years ago! The Jesuit priests that founded it needed farms to support this university. One of them is located 30 minutes from here: in Alta Gracia. A pretty village located in a valley where not only Jesuits settled down here. A big part of the European monarchy and aristocracy used to spend their vacations in Alta Gracia, as well as Manuel de Falla and hundred of people that came here cause of the high quality air. Today Alta Gracia offers us the same microclimate, an old lagoon in downtown and the beauty of the past and the present.

Let's see the City of Córdoba starting at 10 AM. •I will pick you up from your hotel or wherever you were staying. •Walk for the historic area of Córdoba: 1) San Martín Square 2) The Cabildo (the oldest colonial town hall of my country) 3) The Cathedral and the Jesuit block: Universal Heritage (UNESCO) (The walk is along five hundred meters of pedestrian area in downtown). •After midday, we will have a break to have lunch (1 hour approximately) •After the lunch, we will get the car to visit the modern Córdoba, the University and the biggest parks. •Then, we will travel as far as Alta Gracia (30') °Visiting: 1) the Jesuit Estancia/Viceroy's house 2) the historic area 3) the oldest casino-hotel of Argentina •We will be arriving in the City of Córdoba at 4, 30 pm.
