Hello, My name is Gagat, your tour guide in Yogyakarta. Although my educational background was in Business Law, I never practice nor work as a lawyer, since my passion is always in the tourism and hospitality industry. I started working as a tour staffer at an agency in Jakarta. Following my passion, I became an Instructor of Tour Planning and Guiding, Airfares and Ticketing at a tourism vocational school in Jakarta. I was appointed as the head of the tour department. I also had the chance to develop and initiate the school's travel agency as one of their income resources. When I was working as the HR Administration with a Non-Government Organisation from Canada, my passion for hospitality continued, as part of my job was to arrange regional meetings which include cultural activities. Having almost 10 years of experience working in a multicultural environment, I am confident that this background together with my passion will be a good advantage in helping you to prepare and execute your dreamed journeys. Whether it is a cultural or adventurous journey, educational or just a relaxing trip, I will put my greatest effort towards being in your memorable trip albums. Besides the passion of showing my beautiful people and country, I enjoy discussion with various topics. I will also share the secrets of the places of interest one might never hear before, making your trip will be interesting as much as possible. Other than reading, I like coffee in the afternoon, trains and planes spotting and of course music - singing at almost the right tune, that's why I am doing it only in my bathroom at home :) No worries, I will not sing in the car. . . Gagat was fantastic and took care of every detail. The car was comfortable, clean, well air conditioned and he is a very safe driver. He made sure we had ample time in all the locations and assisted with getting fantastic photos. I highly recommend using him to create a custom experience.

The sites were amazing but our guide was anything but. He didn’t seem to know much about the sites, offered little information and slept most of the way back. There are plenty of other guides to choose from.

Excellent fascinating temple with great local guide explanation! It was a 2 1/2 hr drive from cruise port and we were comfortable in a specious airconditioned van. Meal was excellent as well. Gagat was helpful and provided interesting information on the drive. Left us in good hands at the temple with local guide.
