Hi! My name is Kathy and I am an American, now retired in Antigua. I love living on a tropical island, and especially one that has little or no corruption! I am a retired counselor/teacher and have worked in the U. S. , Malawi, Zambia, South Korea, and the Dominican Republic. However, my first love is travelling and going on adventures, and that is why I joined ToursByLocals! I have visited 39 countries, and Antigua is one of the best! Since I have travelled a lot and worked as a tour guide the past 4 years in the Dominican Republic , I know what tourists like and what makes a good tour. It all depends on the preferences of the visitors, and this is my specialty. . . I am very experienced in designing customized tours. I have developed tours for visitors in all the countries I have lived in, and love meeting new people, learning about new cultures and providing a service to make sure the clients have a safe and enjoyable experience. I am a friendly, outgoing, fun-loving, adventurous, organized, but flexible and resourceful person, my clients and friends always comment on how calm I am in crazy traffic, unpredictable circumstances and problem situations. . . I think living in Africa for 20 years helped with that! I have been to many amazing places in Antigua and would love to show you them; from pristine beaches, beautiful swimming pools, great food and water sports to natural beaches with crystal clear blue waters and mountainous areas with hiking and beautiful scenery.
