Hi! My name is Kathy and I am an American, now retired in Antigua. I love living on a tropical island, and especially one that has little or no corruption! I am a retired counselor/teacher and have worked in the U. S. , Malawi, Zambia, South Korea, and the Dominican Republic. However, my first love is travelling and going on adventures, and that is why I joined ToursByLocals! I have visited 39 countries, and Antigua is one of the best! Since I have travelled a lot and worked as a tour guide the past 4 years in the Dominican Republic , I know what tourists like and what makes a good tour. It all depends on the preferences of the visitors, and this is my specialty. . . I am very experienced in designing customized tours. I have developed tours for visitors in all the countries I have lived in, and love meeting new people, learning about new cultures and providing a service to make sure the clients have a safe and enjoyable experience. I am a friendly, outgoing, fun-loving, adventurous, organized, but flexible and resourceful person, my clients and friends always comment on how calm I am in crazy traffic, unpredictable circumstances and problem situations. . . I think living in Africa for 20 years helped with that! I have been to many amazing places in Antigua and would love to show you them; from pristine beaches, beautiful swimming pools, great food and water sports to natural beaches with crystal clear blue waters and mountainous areas with hiking and beautiful scenery. The Southern Coast Tour is for the person who loves the outdoors and spectacular scenery of the Caribbean Sea and tree-lined hills. The Southern Coast has the most beautiful beaches and crystal clear water. Also, it has the most water sports such as jet skis, Hobie catamaran, kayaking and snorkeling, and ziplines. You will love it! Antigua is a wonderful, delightful culture with a mixture of British, African and Caribbean influences. You will love meeting the happy and friendly English-speaking locals whether you choose to enjoy the beach, kayaking and snorkeling, or ziplining. Also, the crime rate is the lowest of any country in the Caribbean, and so if you see something interesting along the way, we can stop and explore safely. Being flexible makes this tour a joy to experience. Also, Jolly Harbor is on this tour where you will see many sailboats. Let's explore the Southern Coastline together!
Your Saint Johns tour itinerary
9:00 Pickup at Cruise Terminal or Hotel. 9:30 Jolly Harbor Tour. Choose 1 of the following: (all 3 activities include drinks and snacks) 1. Beach: 2-3 hours of sipping a drink on a calm, pristine beach sunbathing with swimming, and fun water sports such as kayaking, wave runners, small catamarans, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. 2. Kayaking and/or Snorkeling: Kayak through a mangrove forest and learn about it's wildlife, hike a hill and enjoy natural snacks and/or Take a boat to Cades Reef and enjoy snorkeling in the sparkling aqua waters. 3. Ziplining: Soar through the forest with 6, 9, or 13 lines, plus a 9 element rope course. 13:00 Eat Lunch on the beach or drive along the coastline to Vintage Tea House 15:00 Dropoff at Cruise Terminal or Hotel Note: All tours are flexible in time depending on your preference or cruise ship times.
