Our tour, ‘Capture the best of Antigua’ with Ted M was the best tour of Antigua that you will find. Ted’s personality was joyful and his knowledge of the history was very informative. We toured St. John’s market and learned about many of the local foods. His description of the ‘Pepper Pot’ as a popular dish was very interesting. Our tour of the sugar cane properties and grinding mills is a ‘must see’. Ted discussed many of the local plants and their medicinal/everyday uses. We visited the UNESCO Heritage site of Shirley’s Heights and the Nelson Dockyard where huge sailboats awed us with their size. Throughout the trip, ‘Uncle Ted’ (as he was called by most of the locals) shared his life experiences and remarkable appreciation for life. This is a MUST tour for learning about the people and island of Antigua.

It was an amazing tour. Ted was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and most of all fun. We saw the best sites and he tailored our day to our sons interests. We all agreed it was the best private tour we have ever taken.

Amazing tour! We’ve done private tours around the world, Ted’s was the best! We never learned so much from any other tour. We wanted to see what life is like on the island. Ted went above & beyond. Ted picked us up in a luxurious van with great amenities. Drinks & snacks were plentiful. We stopped at local markets & food vendors, including vegetarian food which I appreciated! What really stood out was Ted’s wealth of knowledge and his love of sharing it. We learned about the culture, politics, history & life in Antigua. We were shown the use of many different plants on the island: glue, aloe, edible things from trees and the plants used by Rastafarians for everything from shampoo to healing. We didn’t worry about taking photos. Ted was always ready with his professional camera to capture everything. Seeing the island through Ted’s eyes was the highlight of our two weeks on the island.
