My name is Miguel. I am interested in history, culture and nature and I like to share this passion with other people. I have a bachelor's and a master's in History. Professionally, I have worked in historical research and in other areas such as a waiter. Getting to know new places and introducing them to friends is one of my hobbies. That's why having the opportunity to show the fascinating locations of Coimbra region to visitors from all over the world is a fullfilling experience for me. The tours I offer seek to show the historical, cultural, and natural richness of the Coimbra region. From the city's main monuments, which are linked to the history of Portugal, to places of great natural beauty, including water springs, mountains, roman ruins, forest paths and stunning gardens. I invite you to come with me to visit some of the most breathtaking places in the Coimbra region and enjoy experiences that can create memories for a lifetime. My other hobbies include visual arts and literature. I have a bachelor in History and a master's on Contemporary History. I have a drivers licence but don't have a vehicle. The vehicles that I will use for the tours will be rented.

Join your local guide and discover the mystique of Bussaco Hill. Here you will marvel at the beauty of the natural landscape and the unique architecture while getting to know more about Portugal's history. The forest was the home of Carmel Monks who chose this secluded site because of its charm, beauty, and peacefulness, but this was also a place of an important battle during the French invasions. We will be exploring some of the Stations of the Cross that punctuate the landscape, along with the manicured gardens, fountains, and exotic trees. And another point of interest is the Hunting Royal Palace (nowadays a hotel), its architecture and special Portuguese tiles before we go down the hill, to the town of Luso for a lunch break where you can enjoy in tastes of delicious local food. After, give yourself a treat at the historical Luso spa, known for its therapeutic baths and water quality. You will return to Coimbra fully revigorated. I look forward to meeting you soon! Bem vindo a Coimbra
