Saskatoon private tours

Saskatoon has a certain understated charm, a kind of quiet allure that you might not expect from a city nestled in Canada's expansive prairies. The South Saskatchewan River meanders through the city, setting a serene pace for those who call it home. It's not the first place that pops into your mind when you think of Canadian destinations, but that's part of its appeal. With a local guide, Saskatoon becomes more than just a dot on the map. Picture yourself wandering along River Landing, the air filled with the aroma of coffee that seems almost too perfect to be accidental. Or perhaps you're at the Remai Modern, where the art feels...

Or perhaps you're at the Remai Modern, where the art feels like a conversation rather than an exhibit, thanks to someone who knows the stories behind each piece. These private tours offer a way to bypass the usual tourist traps, letting you peel back the layers of the city in a way that feels authentic and personal. Explore Saskatoon your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Saskatoon tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Saskatoon for every interest, including:

Layover tours: Get picked up at YXE, walk a stretch of the Meewasin Trail, then pop into the Remai Modern for a curated highlights visit before a quick bite at Hearth. If time allows, your guide can add a coffee stop in Riversdale or a tasting flight at 9 Mile Legacy Brewing and return you to the terminal on schedule.

Day trip tours: Spend the day at Wanuskewin Heritage Park to walk the bison lookout and archaeological sites, with bannock and bison stew for lunch. Or head farther to Batoche National Historic Site for stories of the 1885 Resistance, then cap it with a prairie spirits tasting at Black Fox Farm & Distillery.

History tours: Trace early-settler and Métis history at the Marr Residence and the Western Development Museum’s Boomtown street, paired with the Diefenbaker Canada Centre for prime ministerial archives. Your guide can weave in the University of Saskatchewan’s historic campus and Nutana’s pioneer landmarks.

Downtown and the river paths are walkable, and Saskatoon Transit buses cover the main corridors, but sites are spread out. For smooth connections, ask about chauffeured tours or private transportation with your guide.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Saskatoon inside and out.
