Overview of your Jericho tour
Wadi Qelt to St. George Monastery and Jericho, 12 km. The monastery, founded in the 5th century, is about 9 kilometres from Jericho and about 20 kilometres from Jerusalem, and on a favourite trail for hikers. St. George Monastery is Greek Orthodox monastery located in Wadi Qelt. A breath-taking cliff-hanging monastery. The place is a piece of paradise, with fresh stream coming from upper Wadi Qelt. The walk is very spectacular and tempting and the ascent towards the upper canyon is most appealing.
