Greetings and Aloha! My name is Noah and I have been living between Kaua'i and Japan for the last 20 years with over 12 years of experience as a private tour guide. I am kind, friendly, and enjoy meeting new people. I am a fluent Japanese speaker and very fond of history and foreign/cultural studies. I work as a teacher in the public school system and play with a variety of bands and musicians on the island. I love surfing, music, Japan and the Japanese language, and traveling. From emerald mountains to the the deep blue ocean there are canyons, caves, rivers, beaches, amazing wildlife, and plants and flowers of all kinds. It is also a place rich with history. This tour includes many beautiful beaches, waterfalls, and a chance for a true cultural experience. I have been doing it for over ten years. You may see pods of whales, overflowing waterfalls, albatross and frigate birds, turtles and endless scenic beauty. I enjoy being out on the land and by the ocean on Kaua'i because it never fails to nurture my mind and body as well as surprise me. What I like best about taking travelers around is going to places on the island that one might miss without a local and giving people and understanding of the island. There is one wild beach I take people to where we have had the most amazing experiences getting close to monk seals and seeing pods of seven or more humpback whales from atop a cliffside. Travelers are welcome to change the day a bit to include activities like hiking or swimming.
Although we had two tours scheduled with Noah our ship was only in port for a short first day, leaving at 2:00. Noah did a great job of making sure we saw everything, getting us back to the ship by 1:00. He also has a very nice van for the six of us
A wonderful day. Noah is an excellent storyteller, and his background as a teacher — both on Kauaʻi and in Japan — came through in how he explained things. We came away understanding the island and its culture, not just having looked at it. We saw waterfalls, the Hindu monastery and the rudraksha forest, and a Tibetan stupa. He also took us to a beach near the stupa that felt completely private — the kind of place you would never find on your own. We finished at Hanalei Bay, and he stopped at Tahiti Nui so we could pick up some souvenirs and take in a bit of movie nostalgia. But the real value was in the context he gave everything along the way. He has harbor clearance and collected us inside the cruise terminal, which made the morning easy. Highly recommended, particularly if you want to actually learn something rather than just be driven to viewpoints.
Noah was awesome! Saw a bunch of really cool, off the beaten path things and views. He played ukulele for us. Definitely take a tour with him in Kauai!
Six of us took a tour with Noah to the North side of the island and had a wonderful day. He accommodated some of our unique requests to ensure the agenda was a perfect fit. He is a wealth of knowledge having been a teacher for many years and having lived in Japan. He knows the island incredibly well, so we walked away feeling as if we'd had a fascinating course on Kauai and its wonderful people. Highly recommend a tour with Noah!!
We had a great time with Noah exploring many beaches and other attractions in Kauai. I highly recommend him as a tour guide. He also plays a mean Ukelele.
This is a must do tour. Noah is a wonderful tour guide and very knowledgeable of Kauai history and the places visited. He takes you on an amazing 7 hour tour that includes beautiful, off the beaten path beaches, waterfalls, the lighthouse and a tour of the Hindu Monastery which is a must. My wife and I had a very enjoyable day spent with Noah exploring eastern and northern Kauai. We highly recommend this tour with Noah!
