I am an Historian, Actor and creative Producer and have spent the last 25 years of my life creating and crafting my persona as Robin Hood. After cutting my teeth hosting banquets at Nottingham's 'Tales of Robin Hood' attraction (1995 - 2005), I was the Heritage Ranger for the Sherwood Forest Trust (2005 - 2011) resurrecting old customs with community groups. Over this period I also worked with a wide range of partners including English Heritage, National Trust, Glastonbury Festival and Nottingham Theatre Royal in projects of social, environmental and cultural regeneration. The pursuit and manifestation of the ethos and the aesthetics of the legend of Robin Hood is central to my work as an artist and is part of a wider portfolio of work as Ezekial Bone. 23 years of research and learning about the Nottingham story, 23 years of performance experience (15 years of tour guiding) have become manifest in my Robin Hood Tours which lead the way with educational entertainment. These tours are suitable for all and you will get a powerful, theatrical performance, tailored to your group, of tour guiding, story-telling, prose, medieval verse and wit by a master of his trade. As Robin Hood, I am an Ambassador for VisitNotts, VisitEngland and VisitBritain. I have appeared on the History, Discovery and Travel channels, CBS News in the U. S, ZDF in Germany, BBC TV in England and appeared at various national and international Tourism / Business events. Overview of your Nottingham tour

"At the end of the day, I fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. If that makes me an outlaw, so be it. I've been called worse. " Meet the 'Official Outlaw' for a personal Tour of his legendary birthplace. The evolution of the legend is brought to life with storytelling, prose and theatrics on the green wood paths, as you immerse yourself in the medieval scene of the ancient oaks of this world famous forest. From Royal Hunting Forest to threatened fragment of ancient woodland, this tour also looks at the history, the folklore and the web of life inherent in this natural wonder and national treasure that lies at the heart of England. Join Sherwood's famous son and discover the true nature of the Green Man and an environmental message for the world today. Note: Facilities are very limited beyond the Visitor Centre. Good foot wear and suitable clothing required

Your Nottingham tour itinerary

A short walk from the Car Park brings you to the starting point at the Visitor Centre where toilets and refreshments etc are available. The 2. 5 hour tour is circuitous in route taking in some Country Park footpaths and other wilder trackways. Stopping points in clearings are used for commentary/performance etc. All paths lead to the 'King of Kings', the Major Oak, perhaps the world's most famous tree, and 'trysting tree' for Robin and his Merry Men. The final leg of the journey is a stroll back to the Visitor Centre giving time for reflection, questions etc. This tour can be customized upon request
