Greetings from Scotland! I live in between Edinburgh and St Andrews and I don't mean in the middle of the North Sea. I am just fortunate to have bases in these two beautiful cities. Born in Edinburgh where I worked most of my life, I attended the University of St Andrews and even managed to scrape into the University golf team. I have now laid down roots there, as a golf caddie, journalist and becoming a tour guide. I had a restaurant in Edinburgh and am a bit of a foodie. This is a high priority on my tours. At least to point you in the direction of the best bars and restaurants. So I consider myself to be an Edinburgher and a St Andrean too. I am very lucky. I have rather eclectic interests and my party-piece is reciting Robert Burns's epic poem Tam O'Shanter which I can do for you over a wee dram ! On me ! I would love to show you around this wonderful part of Scotland and all that it has to offer. Its marvellous architecture, breathtaking scenery, cobbled wynds and cosy bars, characters and cathedrals and castles. But let's be sure to have fun. Twenty years of experience of working in hospitality has taught me to have that as the cornerstone of my tours. I have been a ski guide in the Alps, a golf instructor in Spain, a florist, a restaurateur, a golf writer (check out the kilted caddie blog!) and a somewhat caddie on the St Andrews Links. But now I have found my real forte. It's in entertaining people and showing them the places that I really know and love. So now, I look forward to meeting you all too. I hope! Please note that I am not a driver. I undertake walking tours only. Thanks and looking forward to meeting you in Scotland!

We will start the tour at the celebrated new V&A Museum on the waterfront. This is an offshoot of the famous V&A in London and has helped establish Dundee as the first UK City of Design. The building is itself very impressive. We will then go next door to visit the RRS Discovery which was built in Dundee and enabled Captain Scott to make his 1901 Antarctica expedition. Thereafter we will walk up to the city centre and I can show you the Caird Hall, the McManus Gallery and a few other places of interest. We will probably end up at my favourite pub in Scotland for a farewell chat and maybe even go next door for one of the best fish and chip suppers to be had in Scotland.
The tour can be customized but basically we will usually cover the following sights. V&A Museum The Discovery Caird Hall Desperate Dan Statue! McManus Gallery High School of Dundee DC Thomson Museum
