What a wonderful city tour we had with Aloys! He is an excellent guide, a font of knowledge, not just of Dar es Salaam, but the wider history of the East African nations. We thoroughly enjoyed his company as he safely guided us through thronged markets by foot and around the busy streets in bajajs. A must for anyone who has a tiny bit of adventurous spirit and curiosity.

Alloys was on time and patient with us and events outside of our control delayed our arrival, such as it is when the President of Senegal decides to hang around the DAR airport for 2 crazy hours making things very late for us.

This tour was exactly what I was looking for - a way to comprehensively see all the key sights of the city in a day upfront and at a pace to appreciate them. The tour is well constructed so that you don't do too much walking in the intense humidity at any one time - Aloys breaks up the walking with tuk tuk rides, a rest over lunch, and time in the air conditioned National Musuem. As a fan of colonial buildings and the multi-layered history of the Swahili coast it was a perfect day out - thank you Aloys!
