Hello, everybody! I have been a guide for over 20 years and still love to tour the island with our visitors. I am proud of the island where I was born and have been living all my life, except for a few years at the university, one year in Cardiff and a summer in Norway to guide the cruise passengers. There are many beautiful places all over the world and Lanzarote is really a unique landscape. Until the 50's our main concern was to survive, many emigrated to America and did not return. In those days we did not know the potential of Lanzarote as a holiday destination. We learned it later when César Manrique taught us to see the beauty of a volcanic stone, to value our local agriculture and architecture and encouraged us to protect the island's landscape for future generations. Overview of your Arrecife tour
This is by far the most popular of all the Lanzarote excursions. The Grand Tour has to be the best way for you to discover the two sides of Lanzarote. In this excursion we will visit the Timanfaya National Park - you will be amazed and humbled by this unique volcanic landscape. You will be witness to different geothermic experiments demonstrating the intense subterranean heat, how water is converted into steaming geysers and how bushes burst into flames. Then, at Los Hervideros, you will be speechless by the spectacle of the wild sea foaming up through volcanic tunnels and caves and the Green Lagoon at El Golfo. We will continue through La Geria, the island's main wine growing region to Los Jameos Del Agua, a tunnel formed by cooling lava, decorated by the famous local artist, Cesar Manrique. Its salt water lagoon is home to a species of small blind crab, unique in the world. Let's go on tour!
