Good day. . . . Or as we say in South Africa, Howzit. I started working in the tourism industry over 2 decades ago when I go certified as a SCUBA diving instructor. Becoming an instructor lead me down a path where I started working for a well known international cruise ship company, as part of their shore excursions team. My years in the cruise industry taught me the importance of good service and customer satisfaction. After seeing various parts of the world and experiencing their cultures, I decided it was time to put down my roots again, and in 2017 I got certified and registered as a Tourist Guide in South Africa. Now I take a lot of pride showing guests my beautiful country, with special focus on the Garden Route, and Klein Karoo. Registered Tourist Guide with the South African Department of Tourism.

The Garden Route and Klein Karoo is separated by the Outeniqua Mountains, and because of this mountain range, the Garden Route has lush coastal forests, where as the Klein Karoo has a dry semi desert climate. Join me in exploring these 2 vastly different areas, each with it's own beauty. Day 1 we will take a journey to Oudtshoorn, where we will learn more about the history of the area, how the Ostrich trade started and how the modern day Ostrich Farming industry has developed. We will also venture to the Swartberge to visit the Cango Caves, where we will venture underground, and learn more about the geology of this area. Day 2 will have us exploring the coastal forests of the Garden Route. Our Journey will first take us to the well known Tsitsikamma National Park where we could take a short hike through the forest to the suspension bridges that crosses the Storm River mouth, enjoying the rugged coastal scenery.
Both days I will meet you at your accommodation. Normal pick up is 9:00am, but the time could be adjusted to your needs. Day 1: We will take a leisurely drive across the Outeniqua Mountains towards Oudtshoorn. Our first stop will be an Ostrich show farm, where you will take part in a group guided tour consisting of a tractor ride as well as an easy walk. Afterwards we will travel 30 km outside of Oudtshoorn, to visit the Cango Caves. Here we will do a guided tour of the caves where the site guides will tell you more about the heritage of the caves as well as the geology of the area, and how these beautiful caves were formed. Day 2: We will drive through to Tsitsikamma National Park. Inside the park we can take a short hike (1 km) to the Storms River mouth and the suspension bridge that crosses over the mouth of the river. Travelling back from Tsitsikamma we will stop at the Bloukrans Bridge, before travelling to Plettenberg Bay and Knysna, stopping along the way to take in various views.

Transportation will be in airconditioned vehicles. For groups up to 3 guests a sedan similar to a Nissan Altma or Toyota Corolla will be used, and for groups up to 6 guests a minibus similar to a Volkswagen Kombi.
