Olá from Lisbon! My name is Cecilia, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Art History. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to Lisbon ten years ago—quickly falling in love with this city’s light, history, and quiet magic. I’ve been guiding since 2006, first in Buenos Aires and now in Portugal, and what I enjoy most is creating meaningful connections between travelers and this beautiful country. Lisbon is one of Europe’s oldest capitals, a place where tradition and resilience are part of daily life, and I love helping visitors understand its culture, stories, and unique personality. My tours blend history, art, architecture, and local culture in a way that is accessible, engaging, and deeply human. Whether you prefer a relaxed walk through charming neighborhoods or a customized itinerary tailored to your interests, I’m here to create an experience that feels personal and memorable. I can also arrange private transportation when needed, through trusted professional drivers. Looking forward to welcoming you to Lisbon and sharing the city I’ve come to call home. Warm regards, Cecilia RNAAT Nº 34/2025

At the westernmost edge of Europe lies Sintra — an enchanted mountain only 45 minutes from Lisbon and a UNESCO World Heritage Site unique in Europe. This extraordinary cultural landscape has fascinated civilizations since prehistoric times, blending nature, symbolism, and architecture in a way found nowhere else. Known as the most “romantic” village in Portugal, Sintra has long been a source of inspiration. Perhaps that is why figures such as Lord Byron, Hans Christian Andersen, and Richard Strauss were deeply moved by this magical territory, leaving behind words, stories, and music born from its atmosphere. A muse for poets, a refuge for monks, and a paradise for kings and queens, Sintra is truly a must-see during any visit to Lisbon. I will accompany you on a half-day journey to dive into the mysticism, history, and beauty of Sintra. We will travel by train (approximately 45 minutes from downtown Lisbon) or meet directly in Sintra. We will explore the village and visit two palaces.
We will meet at Rossio Train Station in Lisbon, or directly in front of the City Hall in Sintra. We will stop at Queijadas da Sapa, a traditional pastry shop, to taste one of Sintra’s most famous regional sweets. We will visit Quinta da Regaleira, a true masterpiece, famous for its symbolic architecture and spectacular, theatrical gardens. We will visit the Sintra National Palace, the best-preserved medieval royal palace in Portugal and former residence of the Portuguese monarchs. To tailor the experience, we can also explore other remarkable sites such as the colorful Pena Palace, the romantic Monserrate Palace, or the still-hidden gem: the Convent of the Capuchos. After approximately 4.5 hours, we will finish our tour, and you will still have free time to continue enjoying Sintra on your own or return to Lisbon, if you prefer.
