Olá! My name is Bruno, I'm 41. I was born in Sintra, the most beautiful town in Portugal! As biased as I may sound, I grew up with my grandparents in the countryside. They were very passionate people from the North of Portugal and always showed me how beautiful it is when you let yourself go and fall in love with the place you live. Growing up with my grandparents, who used to sell bread door to door on a bike, interacting with people daily was in their DNA. By tagging along with them and doing simple things like going to a local food market, I was always amazed at how they interacted with everyone, from vendors to friends. I feel that was the spark I needed to thoroughly enjoy being with people and having this impending need to socialize and be in touch with the human side of everyone that I meet. I do love the history, sights, and culture of my beautiful country, but I feel like connecting with people on a more human level is what brings me joy as a tour guide. With that in mind, I decided to accept the challenge of being part of ToursByLocals. We will not only discover the vast history of Portugal but also visit places that hold a special place in my heart, filled with fond memories from my younger days when my grandparents used to take me there. This is something I believe I can best achieve through private tours, which is why I chose to partner with ToursByLocals—a place I consider 'by people, for people. Bruno was a true professional and at the same time he made us feel like family. He was knowledgeable, attentive and just a wonderful person. We spent our 25th anniversary with him and he booked us the most exquisite lunch at the end of the tour. Perfect from beginning to end. Thank you Bruno, we won’t forget you and hope to see you again!

We had an outstanding tour with Bruno. He has deep historical and cultural knowledge and a fantastic command of English. He tailored the tour to meet our requests, and packed many things into our day. He made many excellent suggestions of what shops to visit, food to try, etc. His vehicle was extremely comfortable and he was a very safe driver. He is also very engaging and a lot of fun to be with. We highly recommend Bruno!
Bruno was the best! He is so knowledgeable and passionate about Portugal. We learned so much and had a great time. We especially loved the old town in Sintra and Cascais. Bruno even made a lunch reservation for us at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the water in Cascais. Highly recommend Bruno!
The all day tour with Bruno was the best in my life. He was enthusiastic entertaining knowledgeable drove a great car!Being with a guide for 8 hours is a long time and we never got bored.He gave us space to have treats and coffee at the right times. He surprised us and a had fantastic lunch table reserved for us over looking the beach and sea.He had skip the lines passes for Sintra. He tells you things about Lisbon you would never know. Book him for the 8 hours Sintra tour you will be do happy!
I would give Bruno 10 stars if that was an option! I highly recommend you book your tour with Bruno. No matter what itinerary you choose, he will make sure you have an unbelievable experience. We discovered ToursByLocals years ago, and have taken tours in many different cities around the world with great experiences. I’ve never taken the time to review others, but felt compelled to rate this one because we had such a great time. From the moment you get in Bruno‘s vehicle, you’ll notice all the thoughtful details. He had waters for our family, and his vehicle has a glass roof! We took a tour to Sintra. From there, we went to the western most point of Europe. Then we finished in Cascais - a beautiful beach town. He had made us a reservation at the best table with the best view of the beach. It was an amazing day! I would write more, but I’m out of allowed space!
