Hi there! Welcome to Guimarães and Braga, Portugal. My name is Fernanda. In the past I have studied Tourism and worked as a hotel receptionist for 6 years in Oporto. I then returned to University and got a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese/Latin/Greek and became a teacher. Ten years ago I decided to become a stay-at-home mom so that I could devote my time to my children and family. Now my children have grown up, and I decided to return to the work force. So here I am! I like talking to people and I have enjoyed visiting cultural sites and monuments ever since I was a child. I especially like to communicate with people from other countries and cultures. Finally, Braga and Guimarães are two towns I know really well. For many years I studied in both Braga and Guimarâes, and I also worked for years in Guimarâes. I would be happy to be your personal tour guide as I have done so many times for my overseas friends. I would love to take you to popular places as well as places unknown to the average tourists. Overview of your Braga tour
A double tour in one! This s actually the best you can get for one day; You will have the chance to visit Braga, the Portuguese Rome, and on the way, Bom Jesus Sanctuary, a mandatory visit, you will tell me after beeing here, and Guimarães, the medieval small town, and first capital of Portugal (just like people here are proud to say but it is actually not official, never mind, I will explain you on the tour!), on the XII century. Let's talk food! Minho gastronomy it is rich and delicious. a real experience for the palate that I highly recommend, so if you intend to take this opportunity I can book a nice restaurant where the Portuguese are customers.
