This tour includes a visit to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, located just outside Guimarães in the nearby city of Braga, approximately 25 km away. This iconic Baroque sanctuary, often called Bom Jesus de Braga, is one of Portugal’s most significant pilgrimage sites and a masterpiece of religious architecture. Perched atop a hill, the sanctuary is famous for its monumental staircase, comprising 577 steps in a dramatic zigzag design, symbolizing the ascent to spiritual enlightenment.
