You will be guided through city center and visit the most important monuments. Then I will drive you to Sameiro and Bom Jesus sanctuaries, where religion meets nature and art. From a few Kms from Braga, it rises majestically a tourist-religious resort called Bom Jesus, where nature and art "give their both hands" to make it a real ex-libris in the city of Archbishops. The origins of Bom Jesus were on the beginning of the fourteenth century, when someone decided to put a cross on the top of the hillside of Espinho. Sameiro it is the second centre of Marian devotion in Portugal. After the establishment of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception in December 8th of 1854, by Pope Pius IX, a monument was erected on Sameiro Mountain to celebrate and devote the Virgin Mary in Braga.
