Wroclaw is on of those cities in Europe which have experienced both dictatorships: Nazism and Communism. Since the end of WW2, Wroclaw has belonged to Poland which started to be a communist's country. Communism is a political system well known all over the world but every country was a bit different and had different communism. Poland was part of the Warsaw Pact and generally was under Soviet control but we were called "the best barrack in the camp". Polish people had more rights and freedom than people in other communist countries. We started the revolution in late 80s. So if you are interested in those stories and you want to see all interesting parts of Wroclaw, this tour is for you!
The best is to start at Monopol Hotel but if your hotel is far away from this place we can of course adjust the itinerary to your preferences. - Monopol Hotel - Wolnosci Square - Witold Pilecki memorial - Świdnicka street - Main Square - Jatki - the butcher street - University of Wroclaw - Ossolinski Institute - Nankiera Square - Nowy Targ Square - Market Hall - cooffe & toilet brake - Sand Island - Cathedral Island It is a walking tour and it takes maximum 3h.
