Hi :) My name is Michal and I am graduated in political science. Beside working in the travel industry I like sport and all types of outdoor activities like hiking or riding a bicycle. Since 2007, I have been working as a tour guide in Wroclaw/Poland. It is funny because I have never planned to do it and it came by chance. Anyway, it is a great work which I enjoy a lot. I like it because there is no routine and every day is different. I have a chance to meet great people from all over the world and learn something from them. I also like the fact that I can help them to understand polish history and everyday life which sometimes is very complicated. Wroclaw - the city where I mostly work - is so amazing that it is a pure pleasure to walk around and show it to visitors. I also take people to the countryside to visit some castles, churches or just to hike. What I like the most is to do WW2 and communism tours. My background in political science helps me a lot to give clear explanations about the last 80 years of history. I also love to do "nostalgic tours" where I help visitors to visit areas they were born or their family came from. If you like historical places with nice architecture you should come here. I am looking forward to meet you here :) Working as a tour guide in Wroclaw/Poland since 2007.

Wroclaw is on of those cities in Europe which have experienced both dictatorships: Nazism and Communism. Since the end of WW2, Wroclaw has belonged to Poland which started to be a communist's country. Communism is a political system well known all over the world but every country was a bit different and had different communism. Poland was part of the Warsaw Pact and generally was under Soviet control but we were called "the best barrack in the camp". Polish people had more rights and freedom than people in other communist countries. We started the revolution in late 80s. So if you are interested in those stories and you want to see all interesting parts of Wroclaw, this tour is for you!
