Overview of your Colon tour
Travel on a motor boat on Gatun Lake where you might pass right next to some of the vessels that transit the Panama Canal daily. We will motor along the forested banks of Gatun Lake, a Panama Canal protected area. Look for wildlife such as Capuchin Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, various kinds of Toucans and other species. This is a place to observe and learn about the rich biodiversity that Panama has. We do NOT feed wildlife on this tour.
Your Colon tour itinerary
We start our day at your hotel or Cruiseship Port, we drive for about 45 minutes to the area of Gamboa public marina and board our private boat starting a jungle-adventure expedition across the Gatun Lake in the Panama Canal. We will then cruise along the rainforest-covered islands of the Gatun Lake to search for wildlife as we pass the massive ships doing their Canal transits. After we are done with our boat adventure, we will drive to the town of Gamboa for restrooms and refreshments.
