This tour is meant for travellers who wish to experience rural life and nature in The Netherlands. I can show you the most quiet places in The Netherlands, in the provinces of Groningen and Friesland. This is where life is lived in the pace that is should be lived in. Discover the beauty, quietness and silence of the North. Meanwhile I will tell you about landscape, nature and history in this part of the world.
Tour starts in Groningen, Assen, Leeuwarden or Heerenveen. It will include the rural landscape, dikes, terps (I will explain what they are), the Wadden Sea Area (Unesco World Heritage), lakes, small villages and, if you are interested, smaller towns. We will follow the, old, narrow roads, in a relatively slow pace. If you have special requests, please let me know, and I will try to make it happen.
