Enjoy lively and colourful Maputo

Having been born and raised in the city of Maputo and, currently exercising the profession of Tourism Guide, for about six years and a lover of hiking, we will walk through downtown Maputo, which is the heart of the city. We will observe the various historical - cultural sites events such as the Iron House designed by Gustave Eiffel and built in 1892; the Nossa Senhora da Conceição cathedral, an emblematic building opened in 1944 located next to City Hall building in the area of Independence square. Also, the Central Market full of various curiosities which was opened in 1901, the Fortress old military museum, among others that portray the Portuguese presence in Mozambique. During the tour we will stop to observe, interact and photograph the different corners and recants of downtown where tourists are free to question or contribute with a view to having a perfect and pleasant climate with a view to fully enjoy the tour.

The tour itinerary will be the following: 1. The Railway Station is a building with an enviable architecture. It is included in the ten best railway stations in the world in terms of architecture. It has a museum that shows the evolution of the railways in Mozambique, 2. Rua Araújo, currently Rua do Bagamoyo, the meeting point for everyone for everything, in the nights of Maputo that inspired many Mozambican photographers and filmmakers and beyond borders. 3. The Iron House is a unique building, set up as a residence for the governor of the province of Mozambique in the colonial period, 4. Central Market the first in the village of Lourenço Marques building with wonderful architecture where we can appreciate traditional Mozambican products such as malambe, moringa, honey among others, 5. Botanical Garden with a vast area containing secular trees and plants, 6. Emblematic Cathedral of Nossa Senhora da Conceição.
