I would love to take you to one of the most captivating destinations in southern Mozambique – Maputo. This amazing paradise, Ponta de Ouro, or 'Point of Gold'. This town earned its name from early Portuguese explorers who believed they might find gold there. Instead, they discovered something even more precious—a breathtaking beach along the Indian Ocean. This paradise lies about 15 km from the South African border and approximately 130 km south of Maputo. The journey from Maputo takes around three hours by car, offering scenic views along the way.
