Hello, my name is Asmaa, a licensed and enthusiastic tour guide and one of the few female guides in Morocco. On top of that, I am working with a local Non-Government Organization called Rabat Sale Memoir; my role is to educate teenagers about the importance of their tangible and intangible heritage. It's always a good idea to see the highlights of Rabat as a good introduction to its history, geography and cuisine. I'll make sure your visit to this stunning city is accompanied by stories blended with our culture and mythology. It will be my pleasure to introduce it to you. I came to Rabat in 2009 for a day visit. However, I have stayed ever since then. I intend to offer you a tailored tour in Rabat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, especially useful to those spending a short time in the city. This is an opportunity to discover the best must-see sights in Rabat in only 4 hours, such as, the Andalusian garden, the jewellery museum, the Hassan Mosque & Mausoleum. We'd be going from stop to stop on board a modern and comfortable vehicle with a professional driver. We'll also be visiting the medieval ruins of the Chellah fortresses site, the most ancient human settlement on the mouth of the BouRegreg River with lots of mysterious history. In addition, we'll also get to walk through the streets of the Kasbah.
The tour was great, but the best part was Asmaa. She has a great sense of humor and was really knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions about history and religion. She catered to our requests (water and ice cream stops). I highly recommend Asmaa as a guide. As an FYI, we stayed in Casablanca and took the train for a day tour of Rabat. Rabat was beautiful and the beaches were clean. If you have more time, I suggest at least 1 night in Rabat.
I was not able to join but my twenty year old daughter and friend went on the tour and thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Asmaa. She was a total delight and the girls bonded with her and her experiences as a woman in Morocco. They loved the town and took some great peictures.
Asmaa gave us a wonderful tour of the highlights of Rabat. She had so many interesting things to share. The transportation was seamless and we were do grateful to have found her as our guide for the day.
Spending the day with Asmaa was a delight and a privilege. From her first greeting to our farewell she was enthusiastic, caring and exudes a beautiful energy. She was very professional and knowledgeable about all the locations we visited. She is very well organized with transportation and executes her plan seamlessly. My daughter and I loved seeing Rabat with her and cannot recommend her highly enough.
·We'll start the tour by picking you up from a meeting point of your choice within Rabat city. ·Our first stop will be at Chellah or Sala Colonia, a necropolis and complex from ancient Roman Mauritania Tingitana we'll be able to visit. ·Next, we'll visit the Mausoleum of Mohammad V, which contains the tombs of the Moroccan king Mohammed V & his 2 sons, late King Hassan II & Prince Abdallah. ·Immediately after, we'll also walk inside Hassan Tower, the minaret of an incomplete mosque, intended to be the largest minaret in the world. ·Afterwards, we'll head to the splendid Andalusian Garden, which was made in the fresh colonial Era and is located in the heart of the Kasbah. ·We'll then go to the jewellery museum, which exhibits traditional Moroccan jewellery. ·Next, we'll pass by the castle of the Oudaya, a humble residency of the Alaouite sultan. ·At last, we'll walk the streets within the Kasbah of Oudaya, an old military fort. ·At the end of the tour we'll drop you off at your hotel or pick-up point.
