My name is Ahmed, and I'm a Berber native of the desert south east of Morocco. I was born and raised in a small village in the desert. My family were nomads, but when the oldest of my brothers reached school age, they decide to settle in that village for the reason of being in school. I started guiding tourists in my desert when I was a little boy and upon early adulthood, after my primary school finished, I moved to the nearest big town to continue my schooling. I got my baccalaureate degree and 2 years of Tourism Professional school to become a licensed guide. I'm Certificated as a tour guide by the Ouarzazate Tourism Institute for guides training. After my training finished, I started as a tour guide in Morocco with clients of different agencies for several years. Now, its with great pleasure that I'm with Toursbylocals Team. My interest is to show and share with my clients Morocco's Life style, Nomad Berber life, Culture and Traditions and Berber Music. Ahmed is the best. He and driver Mustafa were fun to be around and travel both in the cities and between. Their laughs were infectious and made the tour a joy. Ahmed scheduled stops and routes which were incredibly interesting, and the people he had show me around certain areas such as the medinas in Fez and Marrakech were equally excellent. A highlight was being invited into Mustafa's family home for lunch. I give my highest recommendation to guide Ahmed and driver Mustafa.
Our group of five (family and friend) did a 5 day round trip, starting in Marrakesh to desert and in the end to the coast. Ahmed was fantastic, very knowledgeable, flexible and friendly. We saw amazing sites, experienced Berber culture and had loads of fun. We would highly recommend Ahmed!
Ahmed did a great job organizing and scheduling our trip. He has many contacts and knew people everywhere we went. He was able to effectively balance our time between touring, sightseeing, travelling, hiking and periods of rest. The driver and city guides he hired were of a high caliber, and we greatly enjoyed our time and interactions with them. He also arranged some special activities for us. He is friendly, convivial, relaxed and easy to be with. We highly recommend Ahmed for your tour of Morocco.
Ahmed was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. He was always prompt in picking us up and was always attentive to our needs. In 6 days we came to know Morocco through his eyes. We toured the small town of Chefchouen, the Blue City, and the larger cities of Fes, a city with many artisans and Rabat, a beautiful modern city. Ahmed would love to show us his desert, maybe next time. Our driver, Rachid, was excellent as well. We rode in a very clean, new van. We were well cared for.
We just completed a seven day private tour of Morocco with Ahmed. We visited Marrakesh, Fez, Chefchaouen and Tangier seeing the medinas, casbahs, and royal palaces of these ancient cities. In each city, Ahmed hired a local expert to show us around. We travelled along the summits of the Atlas mountain range. Ahmed arranged everything. He is very patient and answered our many questions about Moroccan history, religion and culture. He is a superb guide. You will have the time of your life with Ahmed!

Day 1: Depart Casablanca, visit Rabat’s main monuments, then continue to Chefchaouen for the night. Day 2: Explore Chefchaouen’s blue alleys, visit Volubilis, and arrive in Fes for overnight. Day 3: Full walking tour of Fes, including the medina, tanneries, and historic sites. Day 4: Leave Fes, pass through Ifrane and the cedar forests, then overnight in Midelt. Day 5: Drive through the Ziz Valley to the Sahara, enjoy a camel ride, and sleep in a luxury desert camp. Day 6: Depart the desert, walk in Todgha Gorge, and stay overnight in the Dades Valley. Day 7: Travel through the Roses Valley and Ouarzazate, then overnight in Aït BenHaddou Day 8: Visit Aït Ben Haddou and Telouet Kasbah, cross the High Atlas, and arrive in Marrakech. Day 9: Full guided tour of Marrakech’s main highlights. Day 10: Transfer to the airport in Casablanca or Marrakech.
