Come to discover the most celebrated capital in Mesoamerica during the Classic period (200 BC - 650 AD). Just one hour drive from Mexico City. This tour is three hour walking in the main ceremonial area of Teotihuacan. Due to the dimensions of the archaeological zone is very difficult to enjoy its cultural offerings in one visit, but I maximize the tour to show you the most important. Let me show you the hidden delights of this metropolis and admire the mural painting of Teotihuacan and enjoy the visit with a major understanding and appreciation of the plazas and palace architecture as well as the underground drainage system. We had a wonderful day with Monica. We have a good knowledge base of the people in Teotihuacan and the Aztecs in the Mexico City area. We were impressed with her explanation of the sites we visited and planned our day to be efficient and avoid lines and the sun. Monica asked a lot of questions and proposed several changes to her itinerary to cater to our desires. She had superb recommendations for restaurants and touring other parts of Mexico City that we were seeing independently. Excellent guide!
This tour was so amazing! Monica who studied history was very knowledgeable about the ruins. Please wear a large hat and bring sunscreen. It is really a dessert area and the heat wore us out! My suggestion is go early in the morning and hydrate. It was a really fun day but we were so tired we had to nap afterwards. Very interesting and it teaches you a lot about Mexican history.
