Full Day Tour to Teotihuacan with Local Guide

Visiting Teotihuacan is always a great choice! It was one of the most powerful Mesoamerican civilizations, and could be compared to cities such as Constantinople or Rome. It was actually one of the largest cities of the ancient world, and served as the foundations of Mexico, going back to the year 1325. Teotihuacan Archaeological Site is located 45 kilometers from Mexico City, with many excellent views and landscapes. By booking this tour you will learn a lot, not only from Teotihuacán but from Mexican history! You will also marvel at the shrine of Guadalupe, the most visited Catholic place in the world after the Vatican. In addition to this, you will get the joyous chance to taste tequila, mezcal or both! We will carry out a 15-minute workshop in which you will learn a little about our natural products, such as the obsidian plant and agave. It'd be my great pleasure to take you on this tour! -After picking you up from your preferred location, we’ll depart towards the pyramids of Teotihuacan. -Approximately 30 mins before arriving to the pyramids, we'll stop by Plaza de las Tres Culturas, a tribute to the 3 cultures who shaped us through the years (pre-Columbian, Spanish colonial and independent Mexican). -On arrival to Teotihuacan, we’ll walk through this archaeological site and appreciate the quite impressive technological skills of this civilization, marvelling at the Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon. -Afterwards, we can have lunch in a local restaurant close to the pyramids, which has a very nice view of them. Here is where the workshop will take place. -Our last stop before returning to where we came from will be the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. -Finally, we will go back to the city centre and drop you off at an arranged point.
