The Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe is the most sacred spot in all of Mexico and is the most visited sanctuary in Latin America. It houses the miracle image of the Madonna of the People, the Protectress of Mexico. This site attracts pilgrims and tourists alike, and is considered one of the most miraculous locations dedicated to the Dark Madonna. According to the legend, the Blessed Virgin herself gave to an Indian, named Juan Diego, a cloak imprinted with her image. Today la Villa de Guadalupe is a place worth visiting no matter your religion. Moreover, a visit to the ancient city of Tlatelolco located within Mexico City in the well known "Plaza de las Tres Culturas". Considered by the Aztecs as their twin city of Tenochtitlan and originally the market district of the Aztec. Plaza of Three Cultures is one of the most emblematic squares of Mexic city with Aztec temples, a Spanish church and a modern building representing Pre-Columbian, Spanish colonial and the modern independent world.

Monica is an excellent tour guide. This is the second time we used her services, and requested her specifically. She is very friendly and knowledgeable bout the attractions around Mexico City. Monica is fluent and conversant in English, and was very helpful when ordering lunch in the market. She made our time at the Basilica prayerful as she explained the details of the apparitions. Exciting visit to the Basilica de Guadalupe with our guide Monica. On our way to the tour Monica gave us interesting information about the landmarks on the way. Monica made sure we saw the most important areas of the tour and gave us details along the way. We did not ever feel rushed. We toured at a comfortable pace and saw everything we wanted to see. The pickup & dropoff at our hotel was very pleasing for us. We definitely recommend this tour.
The trip to the Basilica was wonderful. Our guide, Monica, was very knowledgeable about the chapels and the story of Juan Diego and the vision of Our Lady. She was able to answer all our questions and was very respectful to us as this was a religious experience more than a tourist experience. I believe we visited all the chapels on the site. We were able to attend mass and shop for souvenirs. On time pick up in front of the hotel. Delicious suggestion for restaurant for dinner. Highly recommend.
My wife, kids & sister in law truly had an amazing time with Monica on our tour of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe! We had hesitations since we had never used tours by locals but Monica put those concerns at ease upon meeting with her & our drive to the Basilica. Her knowledge of the history, grounds and architecture was impressive. She even stayed with us as we went to Mass there! Monica gave us valuable advice on where to dine & visit in Mexico city during our stay. Very pleasant & accommodating.
