The National Anthropology Museum is an indispensable introduction to any stay in Mexico, with its astonishing collection of pre-Hispanic pieces and the magnificent art and architecture. Here we shall visit the most relevant halls or the ones of your preference. Option: The Chapultepec Castle is a fine example of the interaction of innumerable human interests and undoubtedly one of the foremost symbols of Mexico City. A visit to the Alcazar of Chapultepec is like reliving times when the mansion served as the official residence of viceroys, emperor Maximilian of Habsburg and presidents. Its interior is graced by furniture from different periods, as well as by objects and paintings that invoke its occupants.
Monica had excellent knowledge of the history of Mexico going back to the earliest Mesoamerican civilization through the preclassic and classic periods. The Anthropology's Museum's collection is extensive and she was able to choose objects and areas that complemented her detailed knowledge really bringing the history and traditions to life for me. I truly enjoyed my tour with her and I look forward to booking with her again on my next trip to Mexico City.
My wife and I, our son and his wife .enjoyed our day with Monica very much. At the Chapultepec Castle she was the first to have interpreted the murals for me[I have been there several times]. J Her forte , however , was the Museum of Anthropology. She gave a truly insightful and educational tour of the Aztec and Mayan rooms and enough of classical and pre classical for orientation. She gave us time to eat when we were fading in early afternoon and was friendly and helpful throughout the day. Recommended.

Monica was able to customize our tour for us which provided us with an excellent experience and most memorable time for our family in Mexico City. Some of the highlights were walking around the Centro Historico and the beautiful buildings (e.g. the amazing still functional post office and the beautiful House of tiles) ,the Xocola and the Museo Arte Popular. We appreciated having a guide who was so in tune with what our family was interested in. We also had a excellent second day with Monica in Coyoacan.
