In this tour we will see monuments from Spanish Colonial times, it will make you travel through time to the 16th century. . Patzcuaro is an ancient town located in the heart of Michoacan with a majestic Spanish Colonial architecture and beautiful churches (and the downtown Plaza makes so special!). Tzintzuntzan was the capital of the Purepecha empire. Its archaeological sites, Colonial convents, preservation of traditions and practice of ancestral craft of Patzcuaro, Tzintzuntzan and Santa Clara del Cobre makes a true living museum. Before the Conquest, Tarascan Indians used copper to make rattles, masks, breastplates and other items. Today, the inhabitants of Santa Clara del Cobre are well known jewelers making items among others ladles, jars and plates which are greatly demanded
Your Ixtapa Zihuatanejo tour itinerary
Departure from your hotel at 6am or 7am * Our first stop will be Patzcuaro where we will have breakfast * Then we will visit the church of our lady of health (the church of the tabernacle we will visit the house of the 11 patios to see part of the crafts of the region) * Our next town Santa Clara del Cobre where all the crafts are made of copper (we will visit some workshops where they will show us how they make the different crafts) * Lunch break * After eating we will continue our way back to Zihuatanejo * Duration of the tour is 12 hours, it is recommended to bring comfortable clothes. this tour can be customized, please message me for a tailor made experience
