Greetings from Klaipėda! I would like to introduce myself as a local, licensed, qualified private guide and driver in Lithuania and Baltic states. I was born here, my family has a farm near Klaipeda. Klaipeda old town excursion includes walking in the old part of the town which is interesting for timber framed architecture, cozy closed yards, the Theatre Square with a sculpture of "Annchen von Tharau", Old Post Office. Trip to Palanga, the biggest seaside resort of Lithuania. City tour includes walking through the Botanical Garden and visit to Amber Museum with over 25000 pieces of amber and 15000 inclusions of insects on display, further walk on the sea pier and on pedestrian Basanavičiaus street famous for its cafes and restaurants with live music. Return back to Klaipeda . Optional - return via a small town Kretinga.
My wife and I and another couple who are friends of ours took a private tour with Daiva of Klaipeda and Palanga. It was excellent! Daiva is very personable and knowledgeable about Lithuania. We thouroghly enjoyed the tour! I highly recommend Daiva as a tour guide!
Daiva was a fantastic host sharing her experiences and culture. The tour was through and the local lunch stop was the highlight of the tour along with the Mansion and botanical gardens.

Our private tour in Klaipeda was outstanding due to our great guide, Daiva! Her car was clean and comfortable and she took us all over the old town, out to Palanga and through the country side. She even arranged a stop at a truly local restaurant so we could sample a true local food - Zeppelin (sp?). She was knowledgeable, personable and clearly proud of her country. I can't imagine a better tour. We came on an Oceania cruise and the Tours by Locals was at least 50% less expensive than Oceania's

A wonderful introduction to Lithuiana. Daiva provided a bespoke and personalised tour for our group. We visited so many interesting places and learned so much.
