This 8 hour tour is designed the way you can explore the most striking places of Almaty. Inspite of the fact, that Almaty is a relatively recent settlement, the city has many attractions. You'll be introduced to both natural and architectural beauty of the "apple place", including the beauty of the mountains at Small Almaty gorge. The tour will end up at Kok Tyube hill where you will meet the sunset and have a dinner. Tour can be customized upon travelers' requests. The private tranportation with a driver is not included to the price of the tour and ranges $160 (up to 2 people); $190 (up to 6 people); $280 (upto 11 people) per 8 hour tour. Payment for tranportation is due on the day of the tour.
I have to rate Altynai higher than five stars for the way that she handled a very diverse group. We were tired and a little slow, but we never felt rushed. Her recommendations for places to visit during the and the lunch restaurant were fantastic. We truly felt we had seen the best of Almaty in one day. Thanks to her and Miriam the driver… especially for all the overruns!
Alta met us promptly at our hotel with a hired car/driver. Since we had covered most of Almaty with our private tour group the day before, she improvised a revised schedule of activities for the day. We spent most of the day outside the city, going up the gondola at a local ski resort. Then to a beautiful mountain lake for photography. We stopped at a small museum and burial mound on the way back to the city. Alta was very knowledgeable about all aspects of Kazakstan history and its people.

After I pick you up, we'll go to Medeo mountain skating rink, Shymbulak ski resort (Small Almaty Gorge), (driving may take 30-40 minutes) so we'll spend the rest of the morning time over there. After a break for Lunch (about 40 minutes), our day will continue by Panfilov park, Cathedral, Mosque, Museum of Kazakh musical instruments, WWII monument, The square or Independence, Arasan baths, Green Market, Central Mosque, and finally we will meet the sunset at Kok Tuybe hill.
