Ciao! I’m a licensed tour leader and national guide, born and raised in Venice, with family roots in the city stretching back over 500 years. I would love to share my Venice — both the famous landmarks and the hidden treasures — with you. From the bustling Piazza San Marco to quiet hidden gardens, from boutique artisan shops to secret alleyways, I’ll guide you through the city’s beauty, history, and traditions. Along the way, you’ll hear family stories passed down through generations about the personalities, mysteries, and legends that shaped Venice. Many visitors book me for their first full day in Venice, whether arriving by cruise ship, flying in for a short stay, or passing through on a longer Italian journey. My tours are designed so you’ll leave not only having experienced the very best of the city, but also with the confidence to explore independently — armed with maps, recommendations, and insider tips from a true Venetian. But our adventures don’t stop at the city’s edge. I also offer unforgettable day trips to Padova, Verona, Treviso, the Dolomites, and even Florence. Together, we can make the most of your time in Italy — whether it’s an art-filled stroll through medieval towns or a breathtaking mountain walk. I am available daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, including weekends and public holidays, and often at short notice — even if you arrive without plans, there’s a good chance I can be ready to guide you. Why choose a private tour with me? Every itinerary is tailor-made for your interests — from grand landmarks to authentic bacari (wine bars) for a cicchetti tasting. I can help arrange experiences like gondola rides or artisan workshop visits. You’ll enjoy the flexibility, depth, and personal touch that only a private guide can offer. A walk to discover this very old section of the city. The term "ghetto" is derived from a local Venetian dialect and relates to foundries and the metal casting industry. Here, in 1516, at the behest of the Republic of Venice, Jews were literally locked inside the gates in the evening. We will walk around to discover what is nowadays, the center of Jewish life in Venice. The area comprises several synagogues, divided by ethnicity, a museum, a kosher restaurant and homes for about one thousand Jews. We will than continue to visit the In sestiere Cannaregio where is the narrowest calle of Venice, Calletta Varisco, which width is only 53 cm. we continue as well to one of the most important churches, Madonna dell'orto. In front of the Church, stands Palazzo Mastelli. The legend tells of that three brothers lived there, known as merchants of clothes and spices and one day. . . you like to know the end? Book this tour! *** enquire within if you can enter the synagogues !!!!
The walk can start from the train station and slowly we will be exploring together the Sestriere of Canareggio ( one of the 6 neighborhoods of Venice) of Canareggio. We will walk around the Ghetto area and explore every corner. Founded in 1516, the Jewish Ghetto in Venice was the oldest of its kind in all Europe. At the time, Venice received order from the Pope to expel all Jews from the city, but the Venetian government opted to lock them onto a small island in the district of Cannaregio. Since then this small area has been the center of Jewish life in Venice, with buildings rising vertically to accommodate the rising number of Jews. We are going to sped here part of the tour and have the time also for a quick coffee. We will than continue to explore the Sestriere of Canareggio. One of the main streets in Venice, as well as one of the most touristic is Strada Nova, on of the most important arterial road of Venice.
