Hello everyone, and thank you for taking a look at my profile! I am an Art Historian, postgraduated at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome. I also obtained a master's degree in Conservation and Restoration at the University "Gregoriana" in Rome. I became a licensed guide of Rome and of the Vatican Museums in 2001. I have also spent some time abroad to improve my language skills. I love both modern and ancient art and archaeology so for me it is not tiring to learn new things that I can later share with travellers! I enjoy art in all its forms, e. g. theatre and ballet, which I practice during my free time. I am in love with my city and its characteristic alleys, where I wander to explore and find secret corners I can take travellers to! My favorite places are Saint Angelo's Castle, where you can feel a marvelous medieval atmosphere, and the Pantheon, the monument symbol of the Imperial Rome. Overview of your Rome tour
I will bring you to discover the Oldest Jewish ghetto in the world. You'll appreciate how beautiful and particular is the melting pot and what happened between the Jewish and the local culture across the centuries. They mixed beautifully together you'll see, making a new culture born in architecture, religion, and especially in Food and cuisine! We will visit this small neighbourhood delimited by the Tiber river on one side and Venice Square on the other. The quarter was enclosed by walls in 1555 under Pope Paul IV, who revoked all rights granted to the Roman Jews. Visiting this area is a really strong cultural and religious experience, due to the presence of the Synagogue and the Jewish museum. We will also have an internal official Jewish guide for that. I'll bring you with me in my "local world" discovering this hidden gem in Rome, that show us again how much history and culture Rome can brings. Ready to start?
