Galilee Cooking Workshop

I would like to give you an opportunity to meet Israeli Arabs in their homes and learn about their food and culture, about Galilean cooking, how they've lived for hundreds of years and how they live today. I'll show you a slice of Israel that is authentic, interesting and different to what most tourists see. This tour gives an in-depth view of the real Israel. We have Druze, Moslem and Christian hosts, who exemplify the custom of 'hachnasat orchim'; warmly welcoming guests into their homes. After tea and coffee we'll have about 3 hours of hands-on preparation of traditional dishes. The menu changes seasonally. Once we have finished preparing the delicacies, we sit and enjoy our feast! The Galilee is often described as Israel's Tuscany. The Galilee is rural, green and has top quality, locally grown produce. Olives and olive oil, fruit and vegetables have been staples since biblical days, which make Galilean cooking special and unique. In short, the Galilee is Israel's food basket. Come and taste it!
