As a resident of the Galilee and Golan for over 40 years I can take my guests to out of the way places and introduce them to the locals who will tell their stories first hand. The fascination I have for the local history allows me to show the many facets of Israel, be it Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Druze or Bahai alongside ancient history and current issues. The Sea of Galilee is the center of Jesus' early life and through the Galilean geography it is possible to get a better understanding of his message and calling which is relevant to all Christians and to Catholics in particular. After meeting in or around Tiberias we will visit a site or two in the Galilee and head east to the Golan Heights where I live. Forty years here have given me a wealth of stories and insights that I am sure you will be interested to hear! We will learn about the Golan's many facets through history and the present current event and geopolitical reality.
Joe was an exceptionally knowledgeable and personable guide. We had been to Israel twice before so wanted to see 'unusual' sites not previously seen.
