Overview of your Peurasuvanto tour
Kuusamo's rugged fells, wide marshes, clean water lakes and rafts are a dream destination for anyone interested in nature! Bears, wolves, wolverines and several rare bird and plant species thrive right here. You are able to choose your preference for the Nature Park visit: * Oulanka National Park * Riisitunturi National Park * Julma-Ölkky / Hossa National Park. In Julma-Ölkky we will go for a 45 min boat trip. Julma-Ölkky, dating back to 2 billion years, is the largest of the three canyon lakes in Finland, in a deep crevice. The famous ancient rock paintings are located here. This wonderful nature tour covers everything you want to know about the Northern Finland's nature and indigenous Sámi cultural heritage. All the parks are easily accessible by a car, but we are going to hike as well, around from 5 to 10 km routes. I will tell you about the local habitats, fauna and flora, and the natural history of the area. There will be binoculars for loan.
