Mountain hike to the remote village Trøllanes

We will experience the beautiful panorama on the mountain path to the village Trøllanes which was the only contact with the outside world for several hundred years. Our whole day trip starts with a visit to the world-famous seal woman and we hear about her dramatic life with the suprising challenge in the end of the story. Then our trip to the remote village Trøllanes across the centuries-old path begins. The first part of the path leads you to the hidden and super quiet Djúpadalur valley were you can hear the same suggestive and deeply peaceful 'diamond sound', that the first people, that found the Faroe Islands for more than a tousand years ago, heard. This place is extraordinary and perfect for a good packed lunch with local produce. On the hike we will hear all the stories from the extensive folklore in the Faroes about the hidden people, how the village got its name and so on before we come to Trøllanes and enjoy a well brewed coffe and tea with the local pancakes.

- We meet at the ferry terminal in Klaksvík 9:45. The ferry tour takes 20 min. - Drive to the legendary Sealwoman in the village Mikladalur and hear her dramatic story. - The mountain hike on the centuries-old track to the village Trøllanes through the breathtaking surroundings begins. The trip will last about 3-4 hours - On the trip, we will get a delicious packed lunch while enjoying the view from the heights from the mysterious and isolated valley Djúpidalur. - Once in Trøllanes we will stop in a lovely house having local food. - Departure to Klaksvík at 18:00.
