What a wonderful day with Gustavo! Our tour of the local fish market, the nature preserve, the civic center in Montecristi, capped by a fabulous five star lunch at Hotel Balandraâs restaurant El Faro made for a great overview of Manta and environs. It was thoroughly enjoyable! We highly recommend Gustavo. đ
Gustavo was friendly, knowledgeable and a great guide. We saw much of Manta and its surroundings with lots of commentary . The highlight of our tour was a special gourmet lunch of Ecuadorian specialties at a local hotel where we got to meet the chef who explained each course. Of course Gustavo had to translate. A fun , and entertaining experience.!we would use him again if we travel to Ecuador .
Had a great tour and guide. Saw and experienced many scheduled as well as spur of the moment experiences. Had a fantastic lunch. All in all, a very nice day.
This was an excellent tour. There was some confusion around getting from the ship to the cruise terminal since I use a wheelchair but Gustavo was extremely patient and communicated well. He did a super job of choosing an interesting itinerary, imparting knowledge and being very helpful with sales negociations and avoiding stairs etc. We were particularly pleased to visit community activities eg the fish market and hat making and the gourmet lunch at Muya was exceptional. I thoroughly recommend Gustavo.
Excellent tour beyond my already high expectations. Friendly punctual and knowledgeable guide took us to a quiet, comfortable out of the way hat shop to leisurely try on and buy 3 Ecuadorean hats. We watched a demonstration of hat making techniques while there. After a stroll around the busy fish market, we feasted on a 7 course gourmet lunch highlighting longstanding local and regional dishes perched on a covered patio overlooking the turquoise ocean and our cruise ship, as the chef presented each course
