Damajagua Waterfalls + Dominican Culture Stop - Half Day Shore Excursion

This is not your typical Damajagua tour. Yes, you'll still hike, slide, and jump your way through the stunning natural beauty of the Damajagua Waterfalls, but what makes this experience truly different is the additional cultural immersion: A delicious homemade Dominican lunch, served family-style in a peaceful rural setting. It’s an authentic, non-touristy plus that brings plenty of soul and flavour to your adventure! To balance out the rush of the waterfalls, I'll take you to a local Dominican home where you’ll meet a welcoming family and enjoy an authentic look at daily life in the countryside. Through meeting them, you'll earn how coffee is roasted, taste fresh cacao, perhaps try hand-rolled cigars if you smoke, and even sample seasonal tropical fruits from their own garden! Taste and interact with locals in a peaceful rural setting.

-After picking you up at an agreed on spot, we'll begin our journey to the Damajagua Park. -On arrival approximately 40 minutes later, you'll receive a safety briefing and get geared up with a helmet & life vest, before proceeding with a guided hike to the waterfalls. -Once we reach the waterfalls, you'll get to swim and make your way down natural rock slides and emerald pools! -After the waterfall adventure, we'll take a short drive across the countryside towards a private family property. -On arrival to the local Dominican home, the cultural experience begins: get ready to learn about coffee, cacao & cigars! -Finally, you'll enjoy a freshly cooked, homemade Dominican meal with rice, beans, chicken or pork, salad & plantains. -After lunch, we'll ride back to your hotel or cruise port with a full heart and awesome memories.
