Cesky Krumlov is a unique experience, I hope I can make you as enthusiastic about this city as I became after several visits, so much, that I decided to move here. And I have lived quite some places: learned english as a child in California, studied and lived for eight years in Paris, and grown up in Budapest. I am a real central-european: none of my grand parents birthplace is in today's Hungary, but all came from the formal Austro-Hungarian Empire. This same mixture is what makes Krumlov - or Krummau - so unique and of course, it's history and (fortunate or unfortunate) eternal second place in Bohemia. When we meet I will ask you questions about what you have visited, Prague or Austria, and what you do or are interested in. I do my best to tailor my tour to your interests and avoid repeating things you might have already heard. The advantage of a private tour is the real dialogue between local and visitor, and I will answer all your questions - never hesitate to ask. Some things might seem obvious for me but very strange for you. My background - art history, philosophy - and my love for this city will hopefully help you to make of your days or hours in South Bohemia an unforgettable trip. For daytrippers, well - you will have to deal with many other visitors, but for those staying overnight, be patient, after 5-4pm the city gets calmer, and you will be able to enjoy the river shore terraces and the famous czech beer at your pace. This full day experience gives you the best of Cesky Krumlov. Architecture, history, local beer and easy sport for the family. This part of the river Moldau is slow, children are safe and welcome on the rafts. You will visit the renaissance Castle, have a tour with a private guide who takes you up to the Tower and around in the Old Town. For after lunch in the local brewery your raft to stroll down the Moldau in this beautiful city or kick bike descent is booked. In case of rain, you visit the Seidel Photo Museum, play an escape game or enter the maze. I believe that travelling makes each person richer if you learn to feel the places you have been to. Walking through cities without knowing the story behind can still be wonderful, but will you remember? Do, learn, feel, taste, savour and all your destinations will become part of you, and remembering where pictures were taken will not need any GPS coordinates.

Your Castle tour (included in the price) starts at 10. 50 in the 3rd Courtyard of the Cesky Krumlov Castle. After the 55 min group tour your TousByLocals Guide meets you at the exit. You will enjoy a private tour for 2 hours and the guide takes you the the local brewery where your table is booked for you. After lunch, you go to the meeting point (previously indicated to you by the guide) of the raft / kick bike excursion, and a minibus takes you to your starting point. You finish your raft / kick bike at the camp and a short walk leads you back to the Old Town. For visitors coming from other cities, transport should be arranged so that you arrive by 10. 30 in Cesky Krumlov. Try student agency coach buses.
