Hello, dear (amigos) friends, I am here to help you, to discover my country, so you can see it through local eyes. You can enjoy more, since you will be less worried, about the unknown that most people suffer while traveling, and more excited about the upcoming events along the day's tour! I have been experiencing Costa Rica as a professional local facilitator for more than ten years, so with me as your local guide there will be no worries about: car condition, driving, spotting wildlife, bird watching, finding local tours, knowing where to find grocery stores or drug stores, finding the nicest roads to travel, doing research on local history, interpreting the geography and weather conditions, facing dangerous situations, having a first aid kit and medical assistance if needed, getting on time to all the attractions and activities. Some of our activities may include: wildlife watching, interpretation of natural trails in national parks; visiting important local people who are involved in the preservation of our cultural heritage; visiting landmarks; photography sessions; donating different goods to local kids and schools; boat trips to islands in the Nicoya Gulf; visiting organic farms and rural projects, swimming in the Pacific ocean; alcohol-free picnics; soft walks of no more than two miles long through the tropical cloud forest; hiring adventure tours as rock climbing, canopy, horseback riding, aerial tram, river floating, zip lining, white water rafting, and much much more. . . Henry was our guide for 2 days from the port of Puntarenas and Quepos. With his expertise, we viewed every bird and animal on our list, some we had not thought of-the monkey clutching its baby as it moved from branch to branch. Henry is an excellent guide and a font of knowledge about the environment and flora, fauna, animals, birds. He used a laser pointer to help us better see the animals in the trees. His van is comfortable and he has a driver. Lunches at local restaurants were great. One was most unique.
Had a lovely day with Henry and his brother Dennis. Picked us up in Playa Flaming and we drove about 2 hours to cloud forest located near the Turriaba volcano. We were so lucky with a beautiful sunny day. Saw sloths, anteater, Howler Monkeys. Pretty strenuous hike for me. Lots of up and down climbing, because one of the hanging bridges was out of use. But I survived. The hanging bridges are a pretty neat experience! Went to a sustainable farm for lunch, Nice easy hike with sloth, toucan, birds.
great job!
