People are tired of the hustle and bustle of the modern cities, a trip to the Hakka village will provide an escape from the cities and let you experience the real countryside. And more importantly, to encounter a special group of Han Chinese-the Hakka people! Known as " the guests living on other's land", and their traditional cultures, especially the UNESCO heritage sites, the Hakka Tulous( earth buildings), firstly built in Song Dynasty (960-1279), and function as a huge and solid fortress for family members to live together as well as to protect them. Even though Adam was already committed and could not take us on our tour he arranged a great driver and provided our local guide with quality guidance on where to take us. Adam was easy to work with and prompt and thoughtful in his responses.
Thank you Adam for taking the time to show me around the Hakka villages. I really appreciated your flexibility to start and end the tour earlier so that I had time to prepare for my evening flight. It was also delightful to be able to visit the non-ticketed tulous to see what they were like, including the abandoned one. Great tour! Adam was a very knowledgable and lively guide who was extremely knowledgable about the local area. The tour brought us to many "off the beaten path" villages and places which made the experience even more unique and enjoyable. He was also very amendable to our pace and what we wanted to do, willing to change according to what we wanted to do. The transport was also very nice and comfortable. All-in-all, it was a great experience to have Adam as our tour guide!
Adam does an outstanding tour showing tulous, with a very nice and personalized combination of the known ones but also more secluded/private ones that make a big addition to the day! It is definitely worth engaging him. His style is very easy going yet in-depth as well.
