Bon Bini - Welcome (in Papiamentu) Born and raised on this picturesque island paradise, I have a vast knowledge of it's history and early beginnings. I possess an intimate knowledge of the island's hidden gems, from secluded shorelines to the vibrant underwater world that surrounds Bonaire's shores. My entire working life was spent working in the early years of Scuba diving on Bonaire. I have worked along side Captain Don Stewart - considered the Father of Scuba Diving in Bonaire. I have been recognized as one of the remaining pioneers of Bonaire's diving industry and I am intimately connected to the sea. Let Me tell you the story of the 'Hilma Hooker' and how we sunk the ship to create an artificial reef. How some of our famous dive sites were named and the origins of the dive industry in Bonaire. I am also a connoisseur of local flavors. Whether savoring the catch of the day or indulging in the mouthwatering blend of spices in a traditional Krioyo dish, you too can appreciate the island's gastronomic treasures. I understand the importance of preserving Bonaire's natural beauty, and actively contribute to the island's sustainable practices and environmental initiatives. I look forward to meeting you - Certified Bonaire Tour Guide - 50 years experience working in tourism on Bonaire, both in-water and on land. - Licensed; Insured to provide group transportation on Bonaire - Local Bonarian with a lifetime of local knowledge - I am known locally as 'Opa' of the sea, due to my many years as a boat Captain and Scuba Diver. Let me show you the best that Bonaire has to offer. I can customize a day for you and your group. None
