Experience the island of Bonaire in the Dutch Caribbean, with a Bonaire Tourism Board accredited guide. Originally from Canada, I have lived on the island since 2008. I work intently to provide an outstanding tour and have been offering private tours since 2010. I speak fluent English as well as Papiamentu - Bonaire's local Antillean language. I provide an educational and historic narrative of Bonaire's origins, it's people and lifestyles. Geologically, Bonaire is partly volcanic in origin and has many interesting formations and areas to discover. Bonaire is also known as a 'Divers Paradise' - rated number one for shore diving in the Caribbean for many years. This is due in part to the efforts of our National Marine Park organization, who since 1979 strives to protect our coastal waters and it's marine life. Overview of your Kralendijk tour

Experience traveling through some of our local barrios and meet some of our local residents. You will enjoy the experience while traveling to areas where few tourists have an opportunity of seeing first hand. Along with your tour guides narrative you will see local architecture, construction types and how locals live in their own 'cottage' type of environment. Farming takes on a different meaning here in Bonaire and you will learn about that. This is an off of the main roads tour with few other tourists. We will view some of our free roaming locals and you will definitely learn a bit about cactai. With a small group of 4 you receive a personalized touch with focused interactions and a leisurely pace. Based on your specific interests we can plan your tour accordingly. This tour is definitely a 'back roads' type of tour with lots of photographic opportunities.

Your Kralendijk tour itinerary

You are met at the predefined meeting area and then you will travel by vehicle to 2 local barrios - we will leisurely view old houses, local barrio wells and watering holes. We discuss age old building habits and discuss flora and fauna. We then travel to the dirt off road area to the east side of Bonaire driving by local farms and weekend properties. I like to show you different tress and explain the differences between our cacti. We view volcanic rock formations and if the winds are good - an east coast blow hole. Continuing thru Bonaire farmlands we will also look for our free roaming animals.
