Enjoy with me off the beaten track places, meet other locals and immerse yourself in " de Bajan culture". Areas of interest/specialty: **Barbados heritage & history **Local flora & fauna **Local geology ** WATCH MY MOVIE, "The Bearded Fig Tree Story" ** My keen interest in Barbados' natural, cultural and built heritage, led to a desire to share these Barbadian treasures. Experience Barbados' sights, sounds, people and more by foot and or vehicle as I interpret our culture, like our car horn language and varied forms of greeting. It's amazing how this island was formed, and how Barbadians lived long ago, and why there are many scores of Barbadian centenarians. In fact, Barbados ranks second to Japan for the highest percentage of 90+ year old persons. I have led walking tours and hikes throughout Barbados' 11 parishes, for the young and the young at heart and you will discover that I am knowledgeable across a wide range of areas relating to our local flora, fauna, Barbados' geology, history, heritage, culture and the interrelationships among the above, leading to the uniqueness of our Barbadian people. I am a certified Hike Leader, having earned certification from Hike Ontario, Canada, in 2006, a World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations certified Tourist Guide and a trained and experienced Barbados Heritage Tour Guide. I have been leading tours since the turn of this century. Customized tours are available at your request, just contact me with your preferences and I will create your Barbados dream tour. My affiliations are: Barbados Museum & Historical Society Hike Ontario, Canada World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) "Explore and experience Barbados with, the Barbados Tourism Award for Service Excellence recipient, Victor; he is personable and passionate about sharing his country, very knowledgeable with a sense of fun. " NOTE TO CRUISE GUESTS: I meet you outside the port main gate and to the right where I will be holding a TBL logo hand sign. Overview of your Bridgetown tour

Experience the fullness of this tropical port city, Bridgetown with me - its people, trading spaces, green spaces, heritage and more. Bridgetown and its Garrison have been inscribed in June 2011 by UNESCO, as a World Heritage Site. Bridgetown has been a port city since 1628 and is the location of the world's 3rd oldest parliament. Due to its strategic geographic location Bridgetown became a very important transshipment point within the Colonial British Empire; I share on the city's role in the development of the Empire's western hemisphere colonies.
