Belgrade, with its dynamic atmosphere and warm-hearted people, never ceases to amaze me. Strategically situated at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, this "Crossroads of the Worlds" boasts a rich history dating back to Neolithic times.

Belgrade Stopover - Half-day tour to S. Karlovci and Novi Sad

This half-day tour takes us to the province of Vojvodina, in the northern part of Serbia. It is a home of 27 different ethnic groups and six religious denominations, therefore sometimes called 'Little Europe'. Novi Sad, the province capital is a beautiful city of some 350. 000 citizens. And it's just 90 km (56 mi) from Belgrade.

Novi Sad is well known for the mighty Petrowaradin fortress, the second largest in Europe, nicknamed 'Gibraltar on the Danube ', and the picturesque pedestrian historic center.

On the way to Novi Sad, we will visit the baroque town of Sremski Karlovci which proudly carries a heavy burden of its rich history. Both places are on the slopes of Fruska Gora Mount, considered to be holy by many local people. Excellent vines are produced here, including the famous 'Bermet' and vine tasting is also an optional activity.
